Food, fun and family friendly entertainment for free!
On Saturday, April 9 the 5th Annual Frisco StrEATS Gourmet Food Truck & Music Festival will be located in downtown Frisco, presented by the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. This year is expected to be larger than any year before, with 30% more food trucks and more live bands!
Frisco Downtown Merchants Association will host 23 or more food trucks, 20–30 local vendors and six bands from all genres. Local artists and their works will be featured in the new arts area. The live music will be of great quality, food will be delicious and include lots of choices, and vendor booths will be setup for those who like to shop. Don’t forget about the beer garden that offers beer and wine for purchase!
Need a lift to and from the dedicated parking area? A free pedicab service will be available at the Frisco City Hall garage and event venue.
“The Frisco StrEATS event has become a premier spring attraction in downtown Frisco,” said Chris Johnson, president of the Frisco Downtown Merchants Association. “Last year’s festival drew more than 12,000 people to downtown Frisco, and with the additional trucks and attractions, we are expecting and even larger crowd this year.”
The six-band musical lineup will start with the popular DFW dance and wedding band Moving Colors, followed by Patrick Casey, Matthew Schaffer, Rich Ellis, Iron HorseExpress and Philipaloosa. While you listen local musicians, you’ll be diving into food from trucks such as Cajun Tailgators, Jack’s Chowhound, JoDawgs, Nammi Food Truck, Ruthies Grill Cheese, Ssahm BBQ, BobAddiction and Easy Slider.
Event sponsors are the ones who make this historic downtown spring celebration happen by offering additional programming, attractions, food trucks, a larger kid’s activity area and awesome music. Major props to the title sponsor, the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, and the others who support Frisco StrEATS: Watermere at Frisco, Legacy Plumbing, Classique Jewelers, Renew Family Dentistry, FenceMakeovers, Mosquito Joe and Patti Ann’s Flowers.
