Julie Brown from Fowler Middle School and Kemmey Morris Griffin from the Natatorium recently received the standing ovation award for August, honored for their work in Frisco ISD.

According to Frisco ISD, Brown and Morris were recognized by Superintendent Dr. Mike Waldrip for their positive attitudes and dedication. They will also be celebrated at a special ceremony in the spring. “The district is thankful for the servant-leadership and the devotion of both Julie and Kemmey to the staff and students of Frisco ISD,” the district said in the announcement

Brown, who is the assistant principal secretary at Fowler, has devoted over 17 years to the school. Beginning her career as a teacher and now serving as a part of the front office team, Brown works to support both students and teachers, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

Brown was honored for her ambition to tackle challenges, whether it's resolving technology issues, enhancing communication or assisting with manual tasks. The district also noted her dedication to student success, evident in her work with students in in-school suspension, where she leverages her teaching experience and passion to help every student reach their full potential.

The second honoree, Morris,  serves as the athletics pool technician for Frisco ISD. As a pool technician, he is dedicated to maintaining and organizing equipment. The district also highlighted his exceptional work and “ready to lend a hand” attitude.

“Thanks to Kemmey, staff can quickly locate what they need to ensure smooth operations,” the district said. “Through his tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, Kemmey helps keep our facilities in top shape, and the Natatorium is fortunate to have his ongoing support.”
