The FC Dallas Foundation and Amazon are kicking off a new partnership to make youth soccer more accessible across North Texas. The partnership will also support the organization’s Field Development Program, proving that Amazon doesn’t just build warehouses — they help build soccer fields too.

As part of the deal, Amazon will be the presenting partner of the FC Dallas Foundation’s Gear Up Project, ensuring kids have the equipment they need — though sadly, Prime shipping won’t extend to penalty kicks.

What This Means

The Gear Up Project presented by Amazon will provide soccer gear to local and international organizations in need. Fans can contribute by purchasing items directly from the FC Dallas Foundation’s Amazon wish list, and Amazon will further engage the community by hosting gear collection events at two FC Dallas regular season matches during the 2025 season.

“At Amazon, we’re committed to supporting the communities where our employees live and work,” said Vickie Yakunin, Amazon’s head of community engagement in Texas. “We're thrilled to partner with the FC Dallas Foundation to help expand access to soccer through the Gear Up Project and Field Development Program. By combining our resources and shared commitment to community impact, we can help ensure more kids have the equipment and safe spaces they need to play, learn and grow.”

Making A Difference For Youth Soccer In North Texas

Since 2011, the FC Dallas Foundation and its partners have constructed 11 soccer pitches across Dallas, Collin and Denton counties as part of the Field Development Program. These fields provide safe spaces for underserved youth to engage in active lifestyles. More than 5,000 children use these pitches every week, and their total development value exceeds $2 million.

“We are excited to welcome Amazon as an Official FC Dallas Foundation Partner in 2025,” said FC Dallas Foundation and Community Relations Senior Director Brooke Leverette. “Both of our organizations are committed to creating a positive impact in our communities, and we look forward to working together to expand access to the sport of soccer.”

With this partnership, FC Dallas and Amazon are taking significant strides in fostering youth engagement in sports, ensuring more children have access to essential equipment and quality playing facilities.

FC Dallas Is Getting Better And Better

As the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, North Texas is gearing up to be a major player on the global soccer stage — and FC Dallas is positioning itself at the heart of the action.

Toyota Stadium is getting a $180 million makeover — the largest in its history — with construction set to kick off in March 2025. The multi-phase project, announced in September 2024 by FC Dallas and Cawley Partners, will upgrade seating, suites, concessions and fan amenities at Major League Soccer's third-oldest soccer-specific stadium. The renovation will boost overall seating capacity by more than 10%, nearly triple club seating and add two new suite levels with premium food and entertainment.

While AT&T Stadium in Arlington will host nine official matches — the most of any venue in the tournament — Toyota Stadium will serve as one of FIFA's designated base camps. That means a top-ranked international team will call Frisco home during the tournament, training at the stadium in the weeks leading up to their matches and returning between games.

"Our hope is that we will get a top-10 team in the World Cup," FC Dallas Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Smith previously told Local Profile. "The way it works is FIFA puts out a brochure to all the federations, and we've been included in there. We're one of a handful of venues, and we believe we've got the best amenities with locker rooms, facilities, press spaces — and we're very proud of our pitch. I think we've got one of the best soccer fields in the country."
