The Communities Foundation of Texas appointed Nick Marino Jr. as the director of its Center for Business Impact (formerly CFT for Business). In this role, Marino will oversee business development, visioning, planning and implementation of programs aimed at serving and engaging both current and potential business relationships for CFT.

To elevate its longstanding commitment to corporate philanthropy, the Communities Foundation of Texas is launching the new Center for Business Impact. This center will serve as a comprehensive resource, offering support in areas such as grantmaking, employee volunteer and networking opportunities, internship facilitation and philanthropic and board training. Its goal is to help businesses maximize their positive impact on the region.

The center will provide expertise in corporate social responsibility, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, as well as environmental, social and governance programs, all designed to enhance employee engagement and community impact.

"The opportunity to lead the Center for Business Impact is both a privilege and a chance to bridge the gap between corporate ambition and community need, creating a synergy that uplifts entire neighborhoods. I am eager to inspire businesses to become catalysts for positive change, utilizing their resources to address pressing social challenges,” said Marino in an official statement. “Our business community can be a key partner and leader in building a more equitable and prosperous future for all.”

Marino has been involved with CFT for over a decade and is an alumnus of its inaugural emerging leaders in philanthropy cohort and social entrepreneurship certificate program. He also founded Tango Charities, a nonprofit dedicated to feeding, educating and empowering communities through healthy food. Through initiatives like Feed The City, Marino has led over 1,600 events worldwide, mobilizing more than 97,000 volunteers and providing over 7 million meals to those in need.

Marino earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the University of North Texas and most recently served as senior director of marketing at Curis Functional Health. He also co-founded Revolving Mind Media, a marketing agency that helps brands and athletes forge meaningful connections with their audiences.

A recognized community leader, Marino has received several awards, including the 2024 American Marketing Association Marketing Maverick of the Year Award and the 2023 NCAA Legends and Legacy Community Award.

“Nick’s ability to build successful businesses while maintaining a strong commitment to social impact is a testament to his leadership and vision,” said CFT’s Chief Relationships Officer Calvert Collins-Bratton in an official statement. I’m confident that with his deep-rooted background driving social responsibility, he’ll foster a sustainable impact in our community.”
