Lowe’s Home Improvement To Open In Celina, Texas

The 94,000-square-foot location is expected to open in March 2027

The Celina Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) announced that Lowe’s Home Improvement will establish a new store at The Crossing at Moore Farms. 

The planned 94,000-square-foot facility will be situated on a 13.93-acre site at the intersection of Preston Road and Ownsby Parkway. The property closing is anticipated in February 2025, with a projected Certificate of Occupancy by March 2027.

“Welcoming a well-established brand like Lowe’s to Celina marks a major achievement for our community,” said Anthony Satarino, executive director of the Celina EDC, in an official statement. “This development not only enhances our local retail landscape but also plays a crucial role in generating new jobs and boosting sales tax revenue. The economic benefits from Lowe’s will support our future growth and provide essential resources for continued community development and new opportunities for our residents.”

According to the official statement, the new store is expected to create over 120 full-time positions, significantly enhancing local employment opportunities and contributing to Celina’s ongoing economic development. The establishment of Lowe’s is projected to generate a considerable increase in sales tax revenue, which will support city infrastructure, services and various community projects.
