As the cost of living continues to soar and the demand for diverse skill sets evolves, job seekers need to be resourceful in finding opportunities that align with their strengths, and that includes finding the right job market.

According to a recent study by SmartAsset, Frisco made it into the top 10 list of the best job markets in the U.S., ranking at number 10. This study evaluated cities based on income, affordability, remote work opportunities, commute times, employment rates and health insurance benefits. The study analyzed 343 U.S. cities using the most recent data from 2021 and 2022.

Frisco boasts an unemployment rate of just 2.4%, with median earnings of $72,421 annually. Additionally, from 2019 to 2022, residents' income increased by nearly 20%.

A notable 86.4% of Frisco workers also have health insurance provided by their employers, and over 38% of workers in Frisco work remotely. However, a Frisco worker's average housing costs amount to $2,326 per month, making up a significant 38.5% of their annual income.

Local Profile previously reported that Frisco was also named one of the best cities for 2024 college graduates. At 49.5%, Frisco boasts the 11th highest percentage of residents aged 18-34 with a bachelor’s degree, marking a 22% increase compared to last year’s analysis. Frisco ranked 10th in job availability for recent graduates, boasting a 6.1% job availability rate.

In just a year, Frisco soared from the 11th to the 5th best place among mid-sized U.S. cities for college graduates, thanks to its high median income and extensive health insurance coverage for young adults. This leap is largely fueled by Frisco's rapid population growth and its emergence as a tech and business hub.
