The future 729-acre community property has plans to include 1,800 single-family homes and up to 1,400 apartment units along with retail and office space. It will be located in a the thriving area just north of the Sam Rayburn Tollway and about five miles east of the Dallas North Tollway on Main Street.
This Frisco community is a joint venture by American Newland Communities, LP (Newland) and its partner North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH), who officially closed on the purchase June 15, 2016.
Back in 2003, Newland developed Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, which was a top-selling community in North Texas for six straight years.
“We are excited to announce the acquisition of this prime parcel of land in Frisco, and are dedicated to creating a thoughtfully designed community that provides a positive lifestyle for our residents and the City of Frisco,” said Brian Cramer, Senior Vice President, Newland Communities, in a statement. “Our goal is to help satisfy the exceptional market demand for homes that is being spurred by companies relocating or expanding in the region, and the timing of this new community will be able to meet that market demand.”
Construction, in the currently unnamed community, will begin with a planned 253-home build, available for purchase by builders in 2017. The grand opening is slated for 2018.
NASH is a U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of their Sekisui House, Ltd, Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer. American Newland Communities, LLC is a development business, and Newland Communities is the master developer of the community. This Frisco community is one of 30-plus assets the NASH-Newland partnership own or manage together and one in a total of 11 states across the U.S.
The two companies’ Dallas-Fort Worth community builds include extensive amenity packages and features such as resort-style pools, playgrounds, splash pad, dog park, event lawn and miles of nature trails.
“Our thoughtful amenities and attention to details really set Newland Communities apart from other developers. In this newest community in Frisco, we will offer our residents a strong sense of community and a diversity of home choices from some of the region’s most respected homebuilders,” said Cramer, Newland Communities.
