North Texans will soon have a honky-tonk hotspot right in their backyard — no long drive to Fort Worth required. Stockyard Saloon is bringing country-filled fun to McKinney, serving up live music and good times as big as Texas itself.

This 57,828-square-foot boot-stompin’, whiskey-sippin’ paradise is designed to be the ultimate country dance hall, live music venue, bar and restaurant — because why settle for just one when you can have it all?

What To Expect

Stockyard Saloon is more than just a bar or dance hall — it’s a full-fledged entertainment hub packed with experiences for every kind of country music fan. Here’s what to expect:

  • Live concerts will showcase country artists and local talent.
  • A 5,000-square-foot dance floor invites guests to kick up their boots with line dancing and two-stepping.
  • Lone Star Fork & Fire will serve up authentic, locally sourced Texas cuisine in a 1,700-square-foot dining space.
  • Iron Spur Studios, designed for musicians, podcasters and content creators, offers 4,000 square feet of state-of-the-art recording space across three studios.
  • VIP perks and bottle service will be available for private events and special occasions.

“Our goal is to provide an unparalleled entertainment experience, blending live country music, dancing, and top-tier hospitality in a vibrant and welcoming setting,” Stockyard Saloon said on its website. “We aim to be North Texas' go-to destination for music lovers, social gatherings and memorable nights out.”

Stockyard Saloon will also stay connected to the community, hosting fundraisers, themed nights and collaborations with local businesses — because in Texas, good times are even better when shared.

Why McKinney Was Chosen

According to Stockyard Saloon, market research reveals a strong demand for modernized entertainment venues in North Texas. A survey of 843,176 residents found that 91.87% believe existing venues are outdated and in need of upgrades, while 79.13% consider travel distance a major barrier, preferring a local option. Additionally, 97.91% expressed a desire for more music variety and events.

McKinney residents in the survey said they must travel 30 to 60 miles — or more — for similar experiences. Stockyard Saloon aims to bridge this gap by delivering high-quality entertainment, dining and nightlife right to their backyard, offering a fresh, modern alternative without the long drive.

When And Where Stockyard Saloon Will Open

According to Stockyard Saloon’s Facebook page, the official address has not been finalized but is expected to be located off of Highway 121. An opening date has also not been announced, but, on March 3, the restaurant and dancehall said it was fully funded and would move forward.
