Prost! Grab your lederhosen, it’s time to celebrate Oktoberfest in North Texas. With many cities hosting events, visitors can get their fill of bier, pretzels and German culture. 

Here’s where to celebrate:

Trucktoberfest

When: Sept. 14 | 12 p.m. - 12 a..m
Where: Truck Yard, The Colony

Truck Yard at The Colony invites you to showcase your talents at Oktoberfest! Compete in events like stein hoisting and pretzel eating for a chance to win gift cards. Plus, if you have a wiener dog, they can join in the fun with a race of their own.

Addison Oktoberfest 

When: Sept. 19-22
Where: Addison Circle Park

At Addison Oktoberfest, experience a blend of traditional Bavarian celebrations with a unique Texan twist. For over 35 years, this four-day festival has welcomed attendees — whether in dirndls and lederhosen or casual attire — to revel in German culture, cuisine, music and bier. Enjoy lively polka bands and other traditional performers across multiple stages in Addison Circle Park, and join in a variety of special games designed for bier enthusiasts, kids of all ages, dachshunds, and more.

McKinney Oktoberfest 

When: from Sept. 27-29 
Where: Downtown McKinney
No tickets required 

If you’re a fan of beer, bratwurst, hearty Bavarian pretzels, pastries, dancing and lively polka music, McKinney's annual Oktoberfest celebration is a must-attend event. Experience authentic German cuisine, both domestic and imported beers, exciting games — including the popular weenie dog races — along with a dedicated kids' area and a festive carnival. The event is free admission, but you can get tickets to the various activities through Eventbrite.

McKinney Main Street and Local Profile are teaming up to offer an exciting sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to Oktoberfest 2025 in Munich, Germany. The sweepstakes will run through the end of the 2024 Oktoberfest festival. Learn more here.  

Wylie Oktoberfest  

When: Oct. 4-6
Where: Glen Echo Brewing, Wylie

Get ready for Glen Echo Brewing's inaugural Oktoberfest in downtown Wylie. Enjoy keg tapping, live music, stein-holding contests, jewelry, yodeling, brats, pretzels, Dachshund races and of course, plenty of beer. More details on the event will be released soon via Facebook.  

Frisco Oktoberfest  

When: October 5 | 11 a.m. to 9 p.m
Where: The Star, Frisco
No tickets required 

Enjoy a delightful array of German cuisine, cheer on the stein-hoisting competitors in the biergarten, browse local vendors and participate in a variety of Oktoberfest games. You can also dance the chicken dance and savor delicious Oktoberfest bier. The games lineup includes the wiener dog race, bier stein hoisting contests, brat eating contests, keg rolling and stein relays. 

A complete list of biers on tap can be found here. No tickets are required; simply purchase food and beverages directly from the tents using cards only (cash is not accepted). Signature Frisco Oktoberfest steins will be available for purchase while supplies last. 

Oktoberfest Dallas 

When: Oct. 5 
Where: Flagpole Hill Park, Dallas

This all-day event features multiple live music acts, a classic biergarten serving local craft beers, German-inspired food including bratwurst and pretzels and fun activities for kids of all ages. Entertainment is scheduled throughout the day, and Cory Morrow headlining the evening shows. 

Oktoberversary at Armor Brewing Co.

When: Oct. 5 | 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Where: Armor Brewing Co., Allen

Armor Brewing Company in Allen is hosting their annual Oktoberversary celebration. Enjoy seasonal beers, a full lineup of activities and live music throughout the day at the brewery. Indulge in specialty beers and dishes available only during this event, including the signature Danke (Oktoberfest beer) and the returning favorite, Angry Alice.
