400,000-Square-Foot Legacy West Tower Will Open In Mid-2024

The structural work on Ryan Tower at Legacy West in Plano is complete. Having commenced construction in June 2022, Ryan Companies U.S. anticipates wrapping up the project within the third quarter of 2024.

Minneapolis-based Ryan Companies offers comprehensive commercial real estate services as a national developer, designer, builder, capital markets advisor and real estate manager. The company provides a wide range of sectors and product types including healthcare, hospitality, industrial, mixed-use, multifamily, office, retail and senior living.

Ryan is set to serve as the primary tenant of the new tower, utilizing half of the 409,000 square feet. In 2017, Ryan LLC acquired the six-acre development site in Plano with plans to relocate hundreds of its employees from an office tower situated at the Galleria Dallas on LBJ Freeway.

Ryan employs more than 2,000 team members in 17 offices and completed projects in nearly every state. It established its presence in Texas in 2012, now with offices in Austin, Dallas and Houston. The company first announced plans for the Legacy West building in Oct. 2021.

The 23-story tower will offer a variety of amenities, such as a grab-n-go market, fitness center, yoga lawn, conference facility, tenant lounge, coffee bar and a café. Outdoor attractions comprise a pickleball court, an outdoor terrace and a 15th-floor balcony.

Ryan Tower is under construction on one of the remaining development plots within Plano's expansive 240-acre Legacy West mixed-use project.

“Ryan Tower is an iconic new gateway tower for Legacy West,” said Paul Rowsey, vice president of development, Ryan Companies. “It will be a best-in-class multi-tenant option for both tenants looking to relocate to DFW and tenants already in the region looking to recast their image, access the best amenities the area has to offer, and bring employees back to the office.”

Construction financing for the project is being provided by ACORE Capital, while Gensler is the architect and designer of the tower.
