Partenope Ristorante, an authentic Neapolitan eatery located in downtown Dallas and Richardson, achieved a significant milestone, being named the 12th best pizzeria in the United States by the prestigious 50 Top Pizza ranking.
This honor secured an invitation for chef Dino Santonicola and his wife, Megan, to attend the international awards ceremony in Naples on Sept. 10, where Partenope will be recognized among the top 100 pizzerias in the world.
The restaurant's steady climb in the rankings, from 17th in 2022 to 16th in 2023, reflects chef Dino Santonicola’s relentless pursuit of excellence. Achieving the 12th spot marks a significant milestone, marking its entry into the global elite.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be in the company of the very best pizza chefs,” said chef Santonicola in an official statement. “Year after year, we’ve moved up the list, but now to finally be ranked among the best in the world is a dream come true.”
Chef Santonicola will also reunite in Naples with his cousin, Rosario Procino, co-owner of Ribalta in New York, which shares a top 12 spot. This connection highlights the deep family ties to the craft of pizza-making.
Partenope carved out a unique niche in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, offering a truly authentic Neapolitan dining experience. Since opening in 2019, the downtown Dallas location became a cornerstone of the local culinary scene, while the Richardson branch, which opened in 2023, quickly garnered its own loyal following. Known for its signature pizzas, the menu also features handmade pasta, fresh salads and top-rated sandwiches, all reflecting the flavors of Naples.
“Much of our menu is what you’ll find in trattorias and pizzerias and on family dinner tables throughout Naples,” said Megan Santonicola in an official statement. “We try to be as authentic as you can get.”
To celebrate this achievement, Partenope will offer two of 50 Top Pizza’s favorites — the salsiccia e friarielli pizza and calzone napoletano — for $12 each on Sept. 10.
