“The cities of Frisco, McKinney and Plano, where we have branches, represent some of the fastest growing cities in the region, and we must be prepared for continued increases in the number of children we serve. We hold fundraisers like this in order to help expand our nationally recognized programming to serve more Collin County children and to be able to expand to additional cities,” said Mike Simpson, Chief Executive Officer of the BGCCC.

The event helps to provide to families like Ms. B (name withheld), who the BGCCC met at a McKinney Housing Authority Meeting. This single mother of four now has her children attending the clubs. The BGCCC picks them at their schools, brings them to the club, where the receive a balanced meal, homework help and daily programs that will help them make the right decisions in life. These children are also involved with sports programs and cheerleading, and their mom knows exactly where they are each day. Your support will help the BGCCC provide this type of programs to hundreds of other families who are in need in Collin County.

“The BGCCC has done a great job accomplishing their mission of enabling all young people to become productive, caring and responsible citizens in our communities. Ensuring a safe, nurturing environment after school and during the summer is extremely important to enabling these children to make the right decisions in life. The excellent programs provided to these children concentrate on academic and career programs, development of character and leadership skills, and the importance of health and life skills. I want to do everything that I can do to help give children the tools they need to achieve great futures,” stated Ken Moraif of Money Matters.
