The Frisco game is one of two exhibition matches planned between the two squads, with the first occurring at DRV PNK Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Dec. 2, 2023.

These matches will mark the first time that the two teams have played against one another since 2018. Dating all the way back to 1986, the rivalry between the USWNT program and China PR has been a long and storied one.

Over the years, China PR has become the U.S.’s second-most frequent opponent, with the teams meeting 58 times — only Canada has played more matches against the USWNT in the same time frame.

The series has featured some of the USWNT’s most infamous matches in the program’s history, most notably the 1996 Olympic gold medal game and the 1999 Women’s World Cup Final, to name a few.

Ranked 15th in the world this year, China PR is coming off of its fourth consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup appearance, where it failed to advance out of the group stage.

The upcoming matchup against China PR will serve as the USWNT’s final game of the year, and will be the 12th time that the home squad has played at Toyota Stadium, a venue where the team has never been defeated before.

The game will air on TruTV, Universo and Peacock at 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET.

Tickets for the exhibition event are now available for purchase on the Ticketmaster site.
