In a recent study by CoworkingCafe researchers, Frisco, Texas, emerged as the most affordable city for remote workers in the state and ranks fourth nationally. Frisco's combination of affordability, economic stability, connectivity and a strong remote work culture makes it a standout choice for remote professionals seeking affordability and convenience.

Frisco’s high ranking can be attributed to several factors. The city boasts the second-highest share of remote workers in the country at 40% and the fifth-best broadband internet coverage at 99.5%.

Additionally, Frisco’s proximity to three major airports and an average internet speed of 526.09 Mbps further enhance its appeal for remote professionals. Economically, Frisco is strong with an unemployment rate of just 2.4% and a median income of $72,421, placing it 11th in the nation for this metric.

Another North Texas city that made the list was Allen, taking the 15th spot in the national rankings. The city also ranked fifth nationally for broadband coverage (99.5%) and proximity to two airports. The city has a 33% share of remote workers and a median income of $62,616.

The report also highlights the performance of other Texas cities. Austin ranked as the 12th most affordable city for remote workers, with the fourth-highest public Wi-Fi density and 12th in the share of remote workers. McKinney took the 19th spot nationally with the ninth-highest average internet speed, while Dallas ranked 47th with the sixth-highest average internet speed and ninth in public Wi-Fi density.
