The "LSA" in LSA Burger Co. stands for "Lone Star Attitude." At Grandscape, the "L" might be the same, but the "L" in location is not.
LSA first opened in 2013 on West Hickory Street in Denton Square. The second location opened in The Colony in October 2022 on the north side of Grandscape Blvd., near Lava Cantina. The building was a shrine to Texas, with an Alamo facade on one side and a giant lone star on the other. Inside, there was a huge bluebonnet mural and paintings of Texas heroes like Willie Nelson, Audie Murphy and Tom Landry.
LSA Burger Co. is now directly across from Galaxy Theaters Grandscape.

Why Did LSA Move?
"We are better positioned now, and this is better sized for what we want to do," Alyssa Aldag, general manager of LSA Burger Co. The Colony tells Local Profile. The previous location was three times the size. The old location had a private patio that could be rented out for events.
In Grandscape, LSA Burger Co. takes over Barley & Board's old space (both restaurants are owned by the same restaurant group). The new location is still large, and yes, perhaps better suited for LSA's line-up of burgers and beer.
The over-the-top Texas pride is missed as is the neon LSA sign, but the previous space was harder to access, too. "We get more foot traffic here," says Aldag, "and we're in the heart of Grandscape."
Good News, The Food Hasn't Changed
The decor is slightly different (think vintage gas station with carpentry flourishes), but LSA Burger Co. still serves big burgers made from 100% akaushi beef, big salads, tasty fries and delicious nachos. So, no. It has not changed, from what I remember.

During our recent visit, we tried the Georgie boy (cheddar, bacon, house mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions), double trouble (two patties, havarti, snake venom salsa, guac, house mayo, lettuce and tomato) and the ready freddie (barbecue, cheddar, bacon, griddled onions, pickles, house mayo, lettuce and tomato). Considering that these are wagyu burgers, I've always thought they were priced fairly, especially for the size: It's $13 for the Waylon with mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions — not a bad price for a burger these days.

Along with a cobb salad and We also had the brisket queso — LSA calls that queso "liquid gold" for good reason! It's delicious, and I could not stop eating it. If you're going to LSA, do yourself a favor: get the brisket queso.

LSA Burger Co. still serves up huge margaritas and cocktails, so that hasn't changed, either.
For Those With Dietary Restrictions
LSA Burger Co. does offer gluten-free buns for an added $2. If you're not into burgers, try a salad. They're big and good.

Perfect Time To Go To LSA Burger Co.
As the weather warms up, if you're looking for a place to grab a burger and a beer in the thick of Grandscape, LSA is definitely a very solid option — but it's always been a solid one. Now, it's just easier to pop in while in Grandscape. Thank goodness for that!
You can visit the LSA Burger Co.'s new location at 5752 Grandscape Blvd., Suite 120 in The Colony. We thank LSA for hosting and treating us.
