This summer, heroes and villains alike will descend on Grapevine as the Gaylord Texan Resort transforms into the ultimate playground for DC Comics fans. From May 23 through Sept. 1, the resort will host DC Summer, an exclusive collaboration between Gaylord Hotels and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences.
The event marks the first-ever partnership of its kind and will feature 12 larger-than-life themed attractions designed to captivate fans of all ages.
The DC Universe Experience
At the heart of this supersized celebration is Universe of Light Featuring DC, a brand-new immersive attraction debuting only at Gaylord Texan. Spanning 17,500 square feet, the indoor installation will showcase more than 1,000 intricate lanterns — some towering up to 24 feet tall — crafted from 30 miles of silk.
The lanterns bring DC’s most iconic settings and characters to vivid life, from Batman’s shadowy Gotham City to the soaring skyscrapers of Superman’s Metropolis and the lush paradise of Wonder Woman’s Themyscira.
Guests can walk through scenes packed with visual drama and interactive moments, including a battle between the Justice League and an intergalactic enemy, a high-flying standoff between Superman and Lex Luthor and even a seat behind the wheel of the Batmobile. A limited-edition, custom DC comic, available only on site, adds an exclusive collectible to the experience.
