Julie Holmer was elected to the Plano City Council in 2021

The award was conceived as a way to recognize the legacy of service left by Mrs. Drotman.

"Julie Holmer has been strongly involved in Plano since she was a child and has been a committed advocate for the community," ArtCentre Executive Director Suzy Jones said. "She is most deserving of this award."

Holmer's volunteer service has included stints with the Heritage Farmstead Museum, the Downtown Plano Association, the Parks Foundation and the Assistance Center of Collin County. She is also a graduate of Leadership Plano, the Plano Citizens Police and Fire Academies. She was elected to the Plano City Council in 2021.

"Her unwavering dedication to Plano as a whole and the arts community specifically is a beacon of hope and inspiration," The ArtCentre of Plano said in a social media post. "Here’s to celebrating her remarkable impact and the extraordinary legacy she continues to build."
