The city of Frisco recently honored Frisco Family Services for its three decades of achievements in helping local members of the community.
Founded in 1994, Frisco Family Services is a social services organization that provides support to Frisco and Frisco ISD families facing hunger, homelessness and other needs through various initiatives.
In recognition of the Frisco Family Service’s long-storied service to the North Texas area, Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney awarded the organization with a proclamation during a recent city council meeting.
During the proclamation speech, Mayor Cheney highlighted the social services organization’s overall impact on the city throughout the years, which includes improving the quality of life for countless residents.
The mayor also acknowledged the organization's role as “a pillar of support and assistance for those in crisis,” in addition to its “ongoing commitment to addressing the ever-changing and diverse needs of the rapidly growing population in Frisco.”
While accepting the proclamation, members of Frisco Family Services expressed appreciation to the city and its community members for supporting the organization.
"As we celebrate this milestone, we also cast our vision for the future," Frisco Family Services said in a social media post. "The next 30 years promise new opportunities to expand our reach, deepen our impact and continue to serve as a beacon of hope for those in need. We envision a community where every individual and family has the support they need to thrive, regardless of the challenges they face. With your continued support, we can make this vision a reality.
