Plano Community Charity and Cowboys legend Drew Pearson present the 5th annual “Chip in for Charity” Golf Tournament on Sunday, April 24 at Los Rios Country Club in Plano. The shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m. and dinner and an awards ceremony will follow. The tournament will be a scramble format and will include awards for winners of the putting contest; longest drive; closest to the pin and first, second and third-place teams. There will be a raffle and silent auction, too.

Plano Community Charity
Since 1989, the Plano Community Charity has helped Plano citizens in times of hardship and crises with emergency financial assistance. The nonprofit organization has provided 9,533+ community service hours. That includes outfitting 75+ children for school and spending numerous hours volunteering in the resale shop. The shop accepts gently used items and provides families with affordable furniture, household items, clothing, shoes and more. One time per year, a family can apply for assistance with Plano Community Charity for help with utility bills, rent, medical assistance for the uninsured and clothing. Plano Community Charity clients consists of families in true crisis; they are not clients who regularly use the system.
