Lainey Wilson To Perform Halftime Show At Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Game

On Thanksgiving Day, Grammy Award winner Lainey Wilson takes the stage at AT&T Stadium during The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show as the Dallas Cowboys face off against the New York Giants.

Wilson's performance will pay tribute to the true spirit of the season, showcasing tracks from her latest album, Whirlwind, along with a special surprise guest. This Thanksgiving, fans can look forward to a vibrant display of bell-bottoms, boots and plenty of festive bells.

"It's an honor to follow in the footsteps of legendary performers like my friend Dolly Parton, The Jonas Brothers and Reba, of course, to kick off The Salvation Army's iconic Red Kettle Campaign," Wilson said in an official statement. "Join me at the Red Kettle this Christmas season because we truly can do more good when we come together to serve those in need in our communities."

The Thanksgiving Day game kicks off one of the largest and longest-running annual fundraisers in the country: the Red Kettle Campaign. A cherished Cowboys tradition for 28 years, this halftime show shines a national spotlight on the needs of millions during the holiday season and beyond, calling on everyone to support The Salvation Army.

Giving opportunities:

  • Donate with cash, coins and checks or digitally with Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Venmo at any Red Kettle across the country.
  • Provide Christmas gifts to children of local families in need through The Salvation Army Angel Tree. You can also contact your local Salvation Army about volunteering to distribute donated Angel Tree gifts.

In 2023 alone, the funds raised helped provide services to over 27 million people across America. Thanks to the Dallas Cowboys’ partnership, the Red Kettle Kickoff has raised an astounding $3 billion since its inception.

"The Dallas Cowboys and the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation have been devoted partners of The Salvation Army for nearly 30 years in our shared mission to take care of the most vulnerable in our communities," said Commissioner Kenneth G. Hodder, national commander of The Salvation Army in the U.S. "And a performance by such a celebrated artist as Lainey Wilson is the most wonderful way to kick off this important season of giving."

Known as the most-watched regular season game of the year, last year’s showdown captivated 42 million viewers. Don’t miss this electrifying performance at a game that brings together football fans and music lovers alike, airing on Fox.
