This year, McKinney Oktoberfest will feature five beers for guests to enjoy:

Hofbräu
A classic style and highly drinkable “Helles” Lager. The clean, whole grain toast aromas follow through to a dry medium-to-full body with excellent balance of lightly honey malt, astringent citrus and earth accented hops on the finish. ABV = 5.1%

Hofbräu Amber Marzen (Oktoberfest)
The name derives from the fact that it was originally brewed in March,“German März.” It was brewed with more alcohol so it would last over the summer without spoiling. The use of Münchner malt (darker malt but not roasted) gives it the light amber color with a caramel and biscuit flavor with an intense hop aroma. ABV = 6.1%

Hofbräu Dunkel
Bavarian tradition, the archetype of the Munich beer, you can taste its history – this is Hofbräu Dunkel. Long before wheat beers and lagers wetted the throats of Germans, the bottom-fermented dark beer was quenching the thirst of Munich residents. The first beer, which was served in the "Braune Hofbräuhaus", still satisfies to this day with its roasted, hoppy taste and the subtle malty finish. ABV = 5.5%

Tupps Hefeweizen
Tupps Version of the traditional Bavarian Wheat Style Beer. Hefeweizens are a type of weiss beer—German for “white beer.” Hefeweizen itself translates to “yeast wheat” in German. Made up of >50% wheat, weiss beers are characterized by a strong presence of banana and clove, even vanilla or bubblegum, in the aroma and flavor. 5.2% ABV

McKinney Oktoberfest
Inspired by classic Munich Oktoberfest beers, but with the spirit of Texas craft, this ale brings a roasted flavor while remaining drinkable. Take three cans, fill your stein, and strap on your lederhosen...it's time to chicken dance! ABV = 5.5%

Wine from Landon Winery and Lone Star Cellars will also be available.
