Cosm Dallas Hosts Grand Opening

On Aug. 17, 2024, Cosm hosted its grand opening in The Colony’s Grandscape, to give select guests a sneak peek into what to expect from the new immersive technology host.

During the preview party, guests enjoyed a curated selection of sports content, including NBA and NHL highlights, Premier League action, Texas football, live coverage of UFC 305's Du Plessis vs. Adesanya fight and a full screening of Guy Reid's immersive space exploration film, Orbital. Cosm also wowed Grandscape visitors with a spectacular drone show to officially mark its arrival in Texas.

"Dallas and North Texas are in Cosm's DNA,” said Cosm CEO and President Jeb Terry as previously reported by Local Profile. “The area is experiencing explosive growth and there is an incredible opportunity to grow alongside The Colony community.”

On Aug. 31, 2024, Cosm will officially open to the public. The grand opening will feature marquee college football matchups such as Clemson vs. Georgia and Notre Dame vs. Texas A&M.

Cosm's shared reality technology integrates advanced visuals with crowd energy and high-quality food and beverage service, offering an immersive experience that makes fans feel as though they are on the sidelines of the CFP Playoffs, courtside at NBA games, inside the UFC Octagon, on the Premier League pitch or front row at global events.

Alongside the college football season opener, Cosm Dallas will host a variety of events throughout September, including U.S. Open tennis, Premier League soccer and additional college football games. Key matchups include Manchester United vs. Liverpool on September 1 and Tottenham vs. Arsenal on September 15. Cosm's live sports events are supported by partnerships with ESPN, NBA, NBC Sports, TNT Sports, FOX Sports and UFC.

In addition to sports, Cosm Dallas will present performances like Cirque du Soleil’s “O” and immersive art from creators such as Nancy Baker Cahill, Guy Reid and Ricardo Romaneiro. This venue follows the successful debut of Cosm’s first public location at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles in July 2024.

Designed by Dallas-based architects HKS, the venue features an 87-foot diameter, 12K+ LED dome that provides a distinctive viewing experience by merging virtual and physical elements. This cutting-edge space is set to transform live sports, immersive art and experiential entertainment for guests in the Dallas area.
