Teatro Grapevine’s Unveils Happy Hour, Early Prix Fixe Menu

Teatro Bistro & Cocktail Lounge, the latest culinary gem in Grapevine, introduced its new happy hour and early prix fixe menu.

Inspired by the glamour of a 1940s dinner club, Teatro — meaning "theater" in Italian — invites guests to step into a nostalgic era. The restaurant’s interior boasts leather banquettes, dazzling chandeliers, and timeless tunes from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, with Hollywood icons like Marlon Brando and Audrey Hepburn adorning the walls.

Chef Carla Pellegrino, celebrated for her innovative American-Italian fusion cuisine, brings her signature flair to Teatro. Known for her commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients, chef Pellegrino crafts each dish with meticulous care and passion.

"Teatro is a place where everyone can feel like the best version of themselves," said chef Pellegrino in an official statement. “Initially, we had planned to focus on American classics with a European approach, but being Italian, of course I had to put a few Italian dishes on the menu. As more guests visited, the common feedback was the desire for more Italian dishes on the menu, so over time we’ve shifted the menu to include more of my signature Italian dishes.”

The new Happy Hour menu is available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with $9 bites including:

  • Arancini Mozzarella & Truffle – Mini-arancini stuffed with fresh mozzarella and white truffle oil, served with house marinara sauce.
  • Classic Meatballs – A blend of beef, veal, and pork with Pecorino cheese, served in Chef Carla’s marinara sauce.
  • Pork Belly Burnt-Ends – Spicy candied braised pork belly bites topped with scallions.
  • Zucchini Chips – Crispy zucchini chips served with a feta cheese dip and marinara sauce.
  • Mozzarella in Carrozza – Italian Romano and fresh mozzarella cheese stuffed sliders, deep-fried and served with marinara sauce.

The Early Prix Fixe Menu, available from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for $39.99, offers a three-course meal that allows guests to choose from a selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts including potato and leek velvet soup, salmon harissa, linguine marinara, a variety of gelati and sorbets and much more.

Chef Pellegrino, born in Rio de Janeiro, began her culinary journey at age 10, assisting in her Italian mother’s catering business. She moved to Italy at 16 and later graduated with honors from NYC's French Culinary Institute in 1997. Pellegrino co-founded Baldoria Restaurant in NYC in 2000 and served as the executive chef for the opening of Rao’s Las Vegas in 2006. She has since created successful concepts such as Bratalian, Bacio by Carla, Meatball Spot and Touché Miami.

Now settled in Dallas after moving from Las Vegas, chef Pellegrino has crafted a menu that highlights her Italian heritage while embracing local flavors.
