Pizza Hut recently unveiled its most innovative restaurant design concept in the U.S. at 8605 Ohio Dr. in Plano, featuring a modern, elevated atmosphere and a more connected guest experience powered by advanced digital and technological innovations.
Why This Matters
The new concept is all about easy customer use, simplifying the process of getting a pizza. The new design features:
- Self-service kiosks for quick and convenient order placement.
- Contactless pick-up cabinets for added ease.
- Guest-facing pizza-making station that highlights the craftsmanship behind the pizza.
- Drive-thru with a "Hut 'N Go" menu, offering a curated selection of "ready-now" items for fast ordering and pick-up at the window.
"From its physical layout to its modern design and digital-forward capabilities, this new restaurant showcases Pizza Hut's legacy of innovation and unique ability to meet changing guest needs in ways that are distinctive to our brand," Pizza Hut CEO Aaron Powell said in an official statement.
Innovative Design
Although new to the U.S., this restaurant concept is already in operation across more than 80 markets worldwide. Research indicates that the innovative design not only enhances the guest experience but also boosts transactions and increases in-restaurant traffic compared to earlier formats.
"This location goes beyond a restaurant redesign; it embodies Pizza Hut's creativity and vision for the brand's future," said Pizza Hut Global Chief Brand Officer Kalen Thornton. "This opening showcases our ability to innovate and evolve, which has served our 65-year leadership in pizza culture."
Sustainable Practices
Aligned with Pizza Hut's commitment to sustainability and community impact, the new location, which opened on Dec. 3, 2024, incorporates eco-friendly features such as energy-efficient lighting, auto-lift fryers and advanced ovens equipped with in-vent hoods and an energy management system to reduce consumption.
