Collin College sophomore guard Alisha Nunley was named to the NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball All-America First Team — a standout honor that also extends the Cougars’ impressive streak, marking the third consecutive year a Collin player has earned national All-American recognition.

Well Deserved

According to an official statement, Nunley averaged 18 points per game during the 2024–25 season, including two standout 35-point performances early on. Her stats tell the rest of the story — 96 steals, six rebounds and 2.8 assists per game, while shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 32.8 percent from the three-point line.

The 5-foot-5-inch guard out of Euless Trinity High School was also named NTJCAC Player of the Year, All-Region V and All-Conference. She received an honorable mention on the 2025 WBCA Two-Year College Coaches’ All-American Team.

A Winning Streak For Collin

Nunley joins a growing list of Collin athletes who have been recognized on the national stage. Teammates Waiata Jennings and Mackenzie Buss were named NJCAA All-Americans in 2023 and 2024, respectively. In 2021, tennis player Rafal Bednarczuk also earned All-American honors.

The Cougars women’s basketball team finished the season ranked third in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference behind McLennan Community College and Grayson College.
