While the majority of firms are based in California, North Texas companies made a notable showing, reflecting the region’s growing influence as a national innovation hub.
With healthcare companies outpacing many other industries on this year’s list, and North Texas well-represented across multiple fields, the region continues to prove it’s not just keeping up with innovation — it’s helping to drive it.
How The List Was Made
Selection for the list was based on three equally weighted criteria: product innovation, process innovation, and innovation culture. More than 10,000 companies were considered, with eligibility focused on those employing at least 500 U.S.-based staff, though several smaller firms with high innovation scores also made the cut. Survey participants — including employees, peers and industry experts — nominated and rated companies through a comprehensive digital platform, ensuring a broad and inclusive view of innovation across sectors.
