Highly esteemed burger and ice house Rodeo Goat will open its Plano location October 10 in east Plano. Rodeo Goat, which originally opened in Fort Worth in 2012, is known for its unique burger creations. Having been named Best Burger of 2018 by Fort Worth Magazine and having won the Best Fries in Dallas award from D Magazine, the new Plano location is on track to give other local burger joints a run for their money.

One of their most notable burger options is the Bad Hombre, which is a burger topped with maple bacon, gouda, swiss, Rahr & Sons Winter Warmer onions, mango pico, cream cheese spread, and Rahr & Sons Buffalo Butt Burn Sauce. Another interesting burger is the Olivia Darling, which comes topped with kalamata olive tapenade, arugula salad, shaved cucumber, garlic and herb boursin, and charred tomato aioli.

For those wanting a more health conscious sandwich, Rodeo Goat will sub out the beef patty with a chicken, veggie, or quinoa patty at no extra cost. They also have vegetarian options like the Neil Young, which comes with a homemade veggie patty, hydroponic sprouts, beefsteak tomato, avocado, and green goddess dressing. Their other vegetarian option is The Billy F. Gibbons, which comes served with a radish and mushroom patty, brown and red quinoa, hydroponic sprouts, and spinach-mayo.

Guests can also choose from a selection of southern favorite sides and appetizers, including Texas caviar, homemade chili, hand-punched fries, and their house potato chips, known as “goat chips.” Rodeo Goat fries their potatoes, as well as their other fried items, in 100 percent peanut oil, which contains zero trans fat or cholesterol.

Apart from a selection of interestingly-named and uniquely crafted burgers, guests can choose from a variety of beers on tap from Texas breweries, including Four Corners, Rahr & Sons, and Austin Eastciders.

At Rodeo Goat, guests can pair their burgers with a locally-brewed beer. Via @RodeoGoat on Facebook.
