4-year-old drowns in Plano pool

A 4-year-old boy drowned in a Plano backyard pool Monday morning. Plano Fire-Rescue responded to the 9:53 a.m. call and arrived at the Ember Court home five minutes later to find a family member performing CPR on the child.

Plano Fire-Rescue responded to the 9:53 a.m. call and arrived at the Ember Court home five minutes later to find a family member performing CPR on the child.

Firefighters took over the life-saving care and transported the young boy to Children’s Medical Center Plano where he was pronounced dead.

Water safety is especially important in Texas for children under the age of 4.
