The City of Plano discovered mosquitoes in two locations that tested positive for the West Nile Virus. The traps containing the mosquitoes were located in the 1300 block of Berkeley Court and in the 4800 block of E. Plano Parkway.

Weather permitting, City crews will be spraying the areas Thursday starting at 10 P.M.

The City’s Environmental Health Department urges citizens to stay inside during the spraying, along with any pets or animals.

Follow the 4 D’s for prevention

Drain standing water.

Use repellent with Deet during outdoor activities.

Dress appropriately.

Use extra caution at dawn and dusk.
