Get excited! Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, a huge hit on the Addison food scene, is opening more locations. The generous menu is vast, covering just about everything you could want, with bold and unique Lazy Dog twists. It’s a welcoming environment and there’s even a weekend brunch. (There’s lots of compelling reasons to visit for weekend brunch, not the least of which is Strawberry French Toast.) As Lazy Dog expands in Texas, the next location, rumored to be arriving later this year, will be right here in Plano.
Lazy Dog is all about the good life. Dog-lovers flock there since they raise the bar on dog-friendliness. Every furry visitor gets a complimentary bowl of water out on the patio, and Lazy Dog even offers a special menu for dogs with grilled meats and brown rice. Designed to feel like a spot of vacation, its lodge-inspired furnishings and photographs of beloved dogs everywhere lends to a really fun, relaxed atmosphere.
On top of that, the food is pretty doggone good. There’s a seasonal summer menu available now in Addison with stuff like Street Corn Wheels (grilled with lime-spiked garlic sauce, topped with queso blanco, Tajin and fresh cilantro). The year-round favorites include appetizers like the Hummus Trio and Wok Fried Calamari. There’s an ever-growing list of amazing entrees from brick oven pizzas (the seasonal flavor is Summer Squash + Bacon), burgers and in-house wok specials to pastas and more.
Lazy Dog’s second Texas location will open later this year at 8401 Preston Rd. Plano TX 75024. This is the 19th Lazy Dog location.
