Plano Fire-Rescue will honor and recognize the department’s 2015 winners at their annual awards ceremony on Thursday, April 14 at the Courtyard Theater in Downtown Plano.

The following 10 award recipients are made up of Plano Fire-Rescue personnel and volunteers:

  • Volunteer of the Year – PFRA Member Bettye Phillips
  • Civilian of the Year – Sr. Administrative Assistant Starla Brantley
  • Rookie of the Year – Firefighter Gary Wortham
  • Public Educator of the Year – Firefighter Clint Foster
  • Fire Instructor of the Year – Firefighter Anthony DiMarco
  • Fire Officer of the Year – Captain Kevin Wilkerson
  • EMT of the Year – Firefighter Tyler Herring
  • Paramedic of the Year – Firefighter Bryan Benefiel
  • Firefighter of the Year – Firefighter Robert Grant
  • Special Recognition – Firefighter Steven Tuck

Plano-Fire Rescue employees who reached 30 and 35 years of service in 2015 and several recently promoted employees will also be recognized.
