February just started, but the page’s to life’s book will quickly turn to March. The third month of the year, March, marks Women’s History Month and to celebrate, the League of Women Voters of Collin County is hosting a luncheon at Gleneagles Country Club.
Six outstanding women who have run for or are in office in Collin County will share their stories. Saturday, March 19 will be an informational meeting every woman should attend that includes topics on motivation, financial support, organizational support and insight. Speakers of the event will be:
- Missy Bender – Serves as Plano ISD Trustee
- Gilda Garza – Served on McKinney City Council
- Tonya Holt – Ran for Justice, 5th Court of Appeals
- Brooke Lopez – Ran for Wylie City Council
- Anne McCausland – Serves as Frisco ISD Trustee
- Cheryl Williams – Serves as Collin County
