Every business lady loves to sip, shop and network. So why not do so through the Plano Chamber of Commerce? Every month the Plano Chamber of Commerce hosts a Women’s Division After Hours that gives women within our community the chance to network with other women in an easy-going environment. This month’s After Hours was held at Marketplace Boutiques in Plano just south of 121 off Preston Road.

Marketplace Boutiques opened in March 2014 and gives local boutique owners the opportunity to setup shop in their own space within the building. Currently, Marketplace Boutiques houses over a dozen different boutiques under one roof. The owner, Julie Smith, has a professional background in both commercial real estate and retail and was excited to have the “opportunity to bring together [her] experience and passion” in running the business. Go check out Marketplace Boutiques for all kinds of items from women’s clothing to home décor and more!

At this lovely women’s event, we enjoyed wine, appetizers and sweets that were provided by local vendors such as NYLO, Sweet Arleens and Marketplace Boutiques. Great company and networking weren’t hard to find as many were there enjoying themselves. A prize drawing always closes out the evening at any Chamber event, which is the cherry on top of a great night.
