Do you love going to the theatre? Well, thanks to the North Texas Performing Arts association (NTPA) here in Plano, Frisco and McKinney there is no shortage of fantastic shows waiting to be enjoyed!
Here we bring you a quick overview of performances taking place this November and December.
A teen gang in rural Oklahoma, the Greasers are perpetually at odds with the Socials, a rival group. When Greasers Ponyboy and Johnny get into a brawl that ends in the death of a Social member, the boys are forced to go into hiding. Soon, Ponyboy and Johnny, along with the intense Dallas and their other Greaser buddies, must contend with the consequences of their violent lives. While some Greasers try to achieve redemption, others meet tragic ends.

Little Shop of Horrors
A down-and-out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant. But he may lose more than his fame when he discovers the kind of food it likes. Soon the plant, “Audrey II,” grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite for fresh blood.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
You won’t believe the mayhem—and fun—in this hilarious Christmas tale when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on! A couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids, probably the most inventively awful kids in history. They are determined to be in the annual Christmas pageant and the congregation is horrified. But sometimes compassion and generosity come from the most unexpected places.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton faces a double challenge—not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

Come see this classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge. On Christmas Eve he is visited by three spirits. Does he learn to cherish the Christmas spirit or will he be doomed to a miserable life?
