Ghouls and goblins will chase you in the night, but don’t be afraid! It’s just the Haunt Jaunt 5K and family run on Saturday, October 17.

The 5K will take you through the nature preserve along paved park trails and streets. This run combines the convenience of a smooth running surface and the beauty of the Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, which is located at 2801 E. Spring Creek Pkwy. Flashlights are welcome, but not required.

Haunt Jaunt 5K runners will gather behind the amphitheater stage for the start of the run, which begins at 7:25 p.m. Along the route, you will see Halloween-themed scenes, lighting effects, and spooky decorations! Activities prior to the run include the 1-Mile Fun Run and Costume Parade and award presentation.

Early registration packet pickup is Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16, 5 p.m.–8 p.m. at  The Medical Center of Plano’s 24/7 Emergency Care at 3670 Highway 121. (Note: this is not the main Plano hospital campus.) You can also register online, or in-person the day of the race. Bring a photo I.D.
