pratishka rigley, primrose schools plano

Franchise Owner & President
Primrose Schools of Plano at Preston Meadow, Prestonwood and Frisco West

With a successful career, husband and a new baby, Pratiksha Rigley’s life hit a snag. “We needed childcare,” Pratiksha says. She looked at five different options. Then she walked into a Primrose School and knew it was a place she could trust.

“I could leave her—and soon her sister, Meira—knowing they were safe and happy,” Pratiksha says. “The facility was clean and the girls were learning and being loved.” Not long after, she reached a crossroad in her career.

That’s when a radical idea occurred. “I wanted to do something I could be proud of. I wanted to contribute to society. Teaching and mentoring had always been my passion. I opened my first Primrose School in 2008 and have never looked back.”

Pratiksha’s currently under construction on her fourth Primrose location. Along the way, she’s mentored other franchise owners and directors and is serving her fourth year on the corporate advisory board. “If we can change the way our children think, to foster more empathy, more inclusion, teach them to be less judgmental and more informed, well, the world would be a better place.

“Research into early childhood has shown the first five years to be crucial to future success in life,” Pratiksha says. “I can’t solve all the world’s problems. But I can give the children at my schools nutritious food to eat and a strong academic foundation. We can teach them to be kind, help them begin school with confidence and self-worth, and I can care for the teachers and leadership team who help make our schools a success. At Primrose we believe that who children become is as important as what they know,” Pratiksha says.

It’s been a winning formula for Pratiksha and for hundreds of Primrose students and their parents. “I have lived the American dream,” she says. “I came to this country at 18 with one suitcase. God has given me a loving husband, two amazing daughters, and a career that challenges and fulfills me.”

When not working, Pratiksha can be found supporting local nonprofits like Minnie’s Food Pantry, Relay for Life, NTX Food Bank and cheering on the various softball and baseball teams she sponsors.
