Waters Edge Park in Murphy is a total hidden gem. How fun and unique to find a treehouse theme playground that also caters to all-abilities and that is almost completely shaded all year around.

The playground at Waters Edge Park in Murphy

Immediately next to this Murphy playground is a really nice picnic area nestled in the trees.

Waters Edge Park, Murphy has no parking except for street parking.

Just beyond the playground, a long bridge leads over a creek and into a totally different park named The Preserve at Maxwell Creek. Here you’ll find a paved walking trail as well as natural trails for walking and which are also popular for mountain biking. This park does have parking and also a large pavillion so if the road and picnic areas at the Murphy playground is ever too crowded you can park at The Preserve and it’s a short walk to the playground at Waters Edge Park.
