The Allen playground at Waterford Park is a small neighborhood playground which is themed after a space station complete with rockets and space shuttles. Locally, many moms call Waterford playground “rocketship playground” and with such excellent theming, you can see why.
“Spacecraft Miracle” is the main play section of this Allen playground and includes two 3-story slides, as well as a “shuttle entrance” and multiple climbing options to ascend up and into the spacecraft.
Plus, there’s a small area of little kids which continues the colors and space theming and there’s even small rocking space shuttles.
Immeditaely neighboring Waterford playground are beautiful gardens with lots of flowers, a paved trail and pergolas.
What’s more, the playground is located on Exchange Trail, a suburban greenbelt trail that follows Watters Creek (an actual creek, not the shopping area).
