Bi Centennial Park in Frisco is rather small, as is the playground, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in fun. With ziplines, a giant play structure with towering slides and a unique spinning swing, this is one of the best playgrounds in Frisco.
While this playground does have some activities and play options for younger kids, it’s really best suited for older kids.

The most unique thing about this playground is a spinning swing which is a cross between a swing, merry-go-round and a zip line. The seats are circles like for zip lines and three of those seats are attached to a central post that can be swung around in a circle. So much fun and definitely for kids 5 and over who have the ability to hold on while they are spun around.
The main playground structure is huge, 3 stories high, and has two long slides.
There’s also two small zip lines, a bank of swings, a small toddler play structure and a small picnic pavilion. Plus since the playground is rather small, that means its pretty compact … and that means it can be easier and less stressful to keep an eye on your children, especially if you have more than one.
At the junction of Sunset Drive and McKinney Road, there’s a red tractor on display which is fun to look at but has a tall fence around it so you can’t climb on it. There is also a basketball court and parking in this area.
Heading west on McKinney Rd., Bi Centennial Park is about a 2-minute drive from Hope Park at Frisco Commons Park. In fact, if you look at a map, they are right next to each other.
The close proximity of Frisco Commons Park is worth noting since Frisco Commons Park is a great destination with long hiking and bike trails, a beautiful pond, a splash pad, the Frisco Veteran’s Memorial as well as a very large playground. If you’re heading to this area, we’d recommend you visit both playgrounds. Or, if you have younger kids, Hope Park playground is defintely the best playground. For older kids, there’s plenty to do at Hope Park, but this playground at Bi Centennial Park is defionetly more exciting. You can click here to read more about the playground at Hope Park at Frisco Commons Park.
Also very nearby, about a 2-minute drive, is Hutchin’s BBQ, arguably one of the best BBQ joints in Collin County. Whether you decide upon Hope Park at Frisco Commons Park or Bi Centennial Park, we know from experience that to-go from Hutchins BBQ makes a great picnic treat!
Fun fact: The city of Frisco donated the old playground equipment of Bicentennial Park to kids 6,818 miles away in Armenia!
