Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar at The Star in Frisco is hosting two benefit events for local nonprofit Melody of Hope in honor of the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards. The events will take place on Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16.
Melody of Hope (MOH) is a Frisco-based nonprofit organization that exists to support and advocate for nonprofits across the city through music. MOH builds live music programs into nonprofit events around North Texas. Through these events, MOH provides a platform for a broad scope of causes, while providing artists with a stage to display their talents.
May 15: Melody of Hope’s Artist Symposium
On Wednesday, May 15 from 8 to 10 p.m., Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar will host Melody of Hope’s Artist Symposium where guests can hear local artists performing include Texas Country singer-songwriter, Ariana Ortiz; Mark Lafon, the most decorated guitarist in the history of the Academy of Texas Music; Alex Lease, a singer-songwriter influenced by blues and folk music; and Adam Knight, a country Americana artist.
To keep the evening lively, Ashley Miller will be the emcee of the event, ensuring a memorable experience for all in attendance.
May 16: The (Official) Unofficial ACM Watch Party
Thursday, May 16 from 7 to 10 p.m. Pete’s will host an ACM Watch Party with the evening benefitting Melody of Hope. The evening will feature the glamor of the award show meeting the heart and soul of the local country music scene at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar. Local country songwriter and a member of MOH, Rebekah Prim, will emcee the night while guests watch the award show on Pete’s giant television. After the show, enjoy the dueling piano show with four performers. Guests are encouraged to dust off their boots and wear their best country attire for the evening.
