On Oct. 12, 2023, the kids at Children’s Health Dallas were welcomed by a special guest. Ryan Seacrest visited his very own Seacrest Studios at Children’s Health Dallas.
Established in 2023 by the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, this studio provides patients with the opportunity to engage in interactive learning, exploration and play. Simultaneously, entertainment programs are distributed across the hospital through the Children's Health Red Balloon League Network.
During his visit, Seacrest engaged in one-on-one conversations with Children's Health patients in the studio, addressing their questions and concerns. His visit was broadcast hospital-wide, ensuring that patients who couldn't attend in person could still enjoy his entertaining presence from the comfort of their rooms.
According to Children’s Health, the objective of the studio is to enhance the experience of Children's Health patients and their families, offering a sense of normalcy and a welcome distraction during their battles with illness.
“The studio ends up being a virtual playroom for children,” a statement from Children’s Health reads. “Patients discover how to cope with their hospitalization, learn more about the hospital environment and connect with other children who are experiencing similar situations.”
Even when Seacrest himself isn’t around — the Seacrest Studios team helps care for your patient through therapeutic TV shows and games on the Red Balloon Network. Every patient and family can win prizes and play live games.
Seacrest Studios and Children's Health also offer students from local universities, colleges and schools the opportunity to gain first-hand experience through internships.
