North Texas Performing Arts Announces 2024 Stardust Award Honorees

North Texas Performing Arts (NTPA) recently revealed the honorees for its 3rd Annual Stardust Awards, which will take place on Nov. 2, 2024, at the Plano Event Center. This year’s event will recognize a diverse group of artists, educators and advocates for their contributions to the performing arts across North Texas.

The 2024 honorees include distinguished performing artist Baba Kubaye, arts organization Cara Mia Theatre and arts leader Cindi Lawrence Hanson of Plano Metropolitan Ballet. The event will also celebrate outstanding educators such as Ashley Marsh from Heritage Elementary School in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, Brady Stableton from Dallas ISD’s Irma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School and Jonette Dalfonzo from Wakeland High School in Frisco ISD. 

Additionally, Penny Ayn Maas of Texas Christian University will be honored as a collegiate educator. The large business champion to be honored are Dairy Farmers of America and local business H-E-B, with Arts Advocate of the Year Centennial Real Estate and its Founder Steve Levin.

"We are honored to announce these incredible arts leaders and we are so impressed with their impact on our community," said NTPA CEO Darrell Rodenbaugh in an official statement. "These individuals have had a profound influence on our culture and we are pleased to recognize their legacy."

The Stardust Awards will feature performances by Grammy Award-winning composer Kitt Wakely and Broadway star Malik Akil Kimani Victorian. The evening will include live and silent auctions, a multi-course dinner and the awards presentation.

The NTPA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit committed to developing character in youth through performing arts education and family entertainment. Originating as Plano Children’s Theatre, NTPA is now the largest youth theatre organization in the nation, serving over 11,000 students annually.
