H-E-B To Host 'Feast Of Sharing' Event In Dallas

Supermarket chain H-E-B is once again hosting its annual Feast of Sharing events throughout the state of Texas, including in Dallas on Nov. 11, 2023.

Taking place at the Automobile Building in Fair Park, H-E-B’s Feast of Sharing is a yearly festive event that gathers local community members together in one place to eat and interact with one another in celebration of the holidays.

This year’s Dallas event will feature H-E-B’s Mobile Kitchen, which plans on serving up traditional Texas-style meals for everyone in attendance.

In-addition to the mouth-watering meals, H-E-B’s community gathering will also have music and numerous family activities, along with a variety of free services such as health and wellness screenings and flu shots.

For homebound seniors and other local residents that are unable to attend the event, H-E-B says that it will be deploying its employees and volunteers to deliver holiday meals to them so that everyone is included in the festivities.

Started in 1989, H-E-B’s Feast of Sharing provides more than 340,000 meals a year to people across Texas and Mexico. Since it was established, the annual community gathering has enlisted over 375,000 volunteers to help serve nearly four million meals during the holiday season.

As part of this year’s Feast of Sharing, H-E-B announced that it will be sending holiday care packages to over 1,000 H-E-B employees and U.S. military service members that are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The initiative is part of H-E-B’s Hunger Relief Program, which works year-round to prevent hunger. Last year, the program donated 34 million pounds of food to families in-need, according to the grocery chain.
