Construction officially commenced on the H-E-B store in Melissa, Texas. Spanning 131,000 square feet, the upcoming H-E-B will feature a comprehensive range of high-quality products and cutting-edge services sometime in 2025 with the largest location in North Texas.

Situated at the northeast corner of U.S. 75 and Highway 121, the Melissa H-E-B is set to offer an H-E-B Pharmacy as well as a True Texas BBQ restaurant both featuring its own drive-thru. Customers can also benefit from the convenience of H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery services. These digital services provide customers with flexible options for shopping, payment and product receipt.

“We’re excited to strengthen our presence in the DFW Metroplex with our move into Melissa,”  H-E-B Executive Vice President North West Food/Drug Juan-Carlos Rück said. “Our H-E-B locations across North Texas continue to stir up great excitement with customers, and we look forward to providing an outstanding shopping experience with the best H-E-B has to offer.”

According to H-E-B, the design of the store, both internally and externally, mirrors the character of the local community. While prioritizing environmental sustainability, the store will integrate various energy-efficient elements, including CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting. The site is also adorned with extensive native landscaping, contributing to its eco-friendly features.

During the groundbreaking, H-E-B announced a donation of $40,000 to schools within Melissa ISD as part of the company's Sprit of Giving philosophy. The distribution includes individual gifts of $5,000 to Melissa Ridge Education Center, Harry McKillop Elementary, Sumeer Elementary, Melissa Sixth Grade Center, Melissa Middle School, North Creek Elementary, Willow Wood Elementary and Melissa High School.

H-E-B is set to provide a range of job opportunities, spanning from department managers to cashiers. The details of these positions will be posted on the H-E-B Careers site in the upcoming months. The store aims to have a workforce of 600 employees.
