Collin College and Texas A&M University's College of Engineering recently unveiled the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Collin College. This initiative promises students the dual advantage of a top-notch education and significant cost savings on their engineering journey while concurrently enrolled at Texas A&M and Collin College.

During the initial two years, participants will undertake Texas A&M engineering courses at Collin College, allowing them to lay a solid academic foundation while benefiting from substantial cost savings. Following this phase, students seamlessly transition to Texas A&M's College Station campus to complete their degrees.

Qualified participants may even apply for early entry into a degree-granting major within the College of Engineering at Texas A&M, further accelerating their academic and professional pursuits.

To be eligible for the engineering academy, Collin College students must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate readiness in pre-calculus or calculus as determined by Collin College's standards. Additionally, candidates must maintain full-time student status at Collin College for at least one year before transitioning to Texas A&M.

The application process is straightforward, comprising three simple steps for new students. Applicants must complete the Collin College application, the Texas A&M Engineering Academy pre-qualification form and submit proof of math-ready status to Collin College's testing department. Successful candidates will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M. The application deadline is June 15, 2024.
