You’ve seen them on the gridiron. Now watch them on the greens. This March, a three-day showdown at PGA Frisco will feature 54 football legends battling it out in a brand-new golf tournament.
That’s right, 54 NFL greats! The Pro, a golf tournament series uniting athletes from the four major sports leagues, announced The Pro FTB, the football iteration, as the kickoff event for its 2025 season. The other sports will be hockey, baseball and basketball. More information about those tournaments will be announced at a later date.
From March 21-23, 2025, PGA Frisco will transform into a battleground where active and former professional football players trade their cleats for clubs. Frisco will be the first to host this new tournament.

This three-day event will feature a thrilling modified Stableford format, showcasing 54 gridiron legends including Hall of Famers Tim Brown, Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk, Dwight Freeney and Brian Urlacher.
Other NFL pros expected to hit the course include Patrick Peterson, Kordell Stewart, David Binn, Terrell Buckley, Brice Butler, Joshua Dobbs, Eric Ebron, Kyle Fuller, Jermaine Kearse, Fred McCrary, Jason Myers, Andre Roberts, Josh Scobee, Ryan Succop and Bryan Walters. A full lineup will be announced as the tournament gets closer.
The Pro events follow the structure of traditional professional golf tournaments, featuring two early-week practice rounds, a Pro-Am pairing four amateur players with one professional athlete, and three days of intense tournament play. With a $400,000 prize purse and no cuts in the 54-player field, The Pro FTB is likely to be high-stakes action and continuous competition.
“Frisco is excited and honored to be the first-ever host of The Pro FTB at PGA Frisco,” said Assistant Executive Director of Visit Frisco Josh Dill in an official statement. “Frisco is a community with a high concentration of professional athletes who live, play and invest in our community.”
