Massive Luxury Sports Car Garage Coming To Plano: Construction Estimates Are $32 Million

Good news: the DMV is right down the road

Maranello, a Plano-based luxury auto garage company, just revved up plans for Texas’ first-ever garage “condo” storage facility made exclusively for sports car owners. It’s like an apartment for your car.

The project by Dallas real estate developer, motorsports aficionado and Maranello CEO Michael Holigan, is set to offer an unmatched experience for luxury sports car owners who share a love for racing and collecting cars and motorcycles. The venue will be open year-round to members and will host car shows and exclusive events, making it a go-to spot for automotive enthusiasts.

“We are excited to see Maranello, planned to be a best-in-class facility for car enthusiasts, begin construction here in Plano,” said Plano Mayor John B. Muns. “Holigan and his team have been great to work with and his vision aligns with what we want to offer businesses, residents and guests in Plano.”

Why This Is So Cool

The facility boasts a 13,000-square-foot, two-story lounge and a 60,000-square-foot open-air concours at the center of the building, designed to host both public and private events.

“This will be the premier location for car shows in Texas,” Holigan said in an official statement.

The luxury auto garage will offer 79 garage condos, ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet. Each car condo comes equipped with a steel mezzanine and stairs, along with full utilities, giving owners the flexibility to create their ideal garage space.

Additional features include app-controlled HVAC systems and sleek glass garage doors that open into the facility’s interior. Not only does this provide a secure and sheltered environment to protect your valuable cars from the relentless Texas heat, which can wreak havoc on the vehicles as well as on the paint and interiors, but it also serves as a showcase for prized collections.

The structure’s design creates a vibrant and interactive setting for fellow car lovers to admire each vehicle, whether they are on display in the courtyard or in their car-condos. The surroundings are reminiscent of a luxury car museum, enhancing the ambiance and making the space as visually striking as it is functional.

“There is nothing like this in Texas,” Holigan said. “Garage condo owners will drive into the building to access their garages. With all the garages facing into the building, members can visit with other collectors year-round as weather is never a factor. We’re creating a lifestyle destination where serious car collectors can bond and build a true community.”

Situated in Plano at the northeast corner of Ohio Drive and Maple Shade Lane, just off the George W. Bush Turnpike, the 200,000-square-foot facility will span over 11 acres. Construction on the luxury space is set to begin in the coming months, with plans for it to be fully operational by spring 2026.
