First Look: UNIQLO Galleria Dallas

On Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, popular Japanese casual clothing company UNIQLO is opening its first North Texas location at Galleria Dallas.

If you've been to any UNIQLO shops, the surroundings will be familiar. The Dallas Galleria location — as well as the other Texas ones — have Lone Star State exclusive t-shirts.

The Galleria Dallas opening will be followed by additional openings at The Parks Mall in Arlington and Stonebriar Centre in Frisco on Friday, Oct. 25.

On Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, Local Profile attended a preview, and we saw areas of the Galleria that had been roped off for lines, so no doubt, they are expecting a crowd. At the openings, there will be special deals on select items of clothing. But what deals can you expect?

Here are some of the deals we spotted:

  • Merino crew neck sweater half sleeve: $19.90 (originally $29.90)
  • Ultra Light Down jacket: $69.90 (originally $79.90)
  • U crew neck t-shirt short sleeve: $9.90 (originally $14.90)
  • Wide straight jeans: $39.90 (originally $49.90)
  • HEATTECH ultra warm crew neck t-shirt long sleeve: $19.90 (originally $29.90)

The specials are noted by red placards and will be offered at the Galleria Dallas store until Oct. 24, 2024, but since stores will be opening in Frisco and Arlington a day later, we imagine you could pick up specials there, too.

Founded in 1949, UNIQLO has locations across Japan and throughout the world. Since the brand’s first North American store debuted in 2005, UNIQLO became known for its LifeWear line — high-quality, versatile clothing designed to meet everyday needs. Drawing from Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity, LifeWear emphasizes universal designs and comfort, making it a staple for daily wear.

“We’re thrilled to bring five new stores to Texas, reinforcing our commitment to providing high-quality, innovative LifeWear and an exceptional shopping experience to our customers,” UNIQLO USA CEO Yoshihide Shindo previously said in an official statement. “We also look forward to our partnerships with local nonprofits through the RE.UNIQLO circularity program, furthering our connections within the Texan community.”

These store openings are part of UNIQLO’s broader North American expansion, which includes more than 20 new locations planned for 2024. Approximately half of these stores are already operational, with Texas and California serving as key markets in the company’s brick-and-mortar growth strategy.

UNIQLO Dallas Galleria is on the first and second floors, next to Mango and across from Tiffany's.
