Craft And Vine Bring Upscale-Casual Dining To Plano, Texas

Born out of a passion for hospitality, entertaining, incredible food and innovative cocktails, Craft and Vine restaurant brings a full dining experience to Plano.

The commitment to craftsmanship and excellence permeates every facet of the restaurant, transforming Craft and Vine into a passion project for the executive team and an exceptional choice for guests.

“Our menu items are crafted to introduce guests to new and exciting flavor profiles they may not have experienced before,” Craft and Vine owner Tim Nystrom told Local Profile. “We embrace seasonal changes by refreshing our menu twice a year, ensuring both innovation and the preservation of beloved classics.”

This commitment extends to behind the bar, encompassing the entire cocktail, martini and infused bourbon menu.

But the restaurant’s ventures go beyond hosting the many hungry diners — the upstairs dining room is perfect for hosting events. On Aug. 24, 2023, Craft and Vine welcomed Local Profile and their roomful of guests for the Food and Drink Issue cover party.

Guests were treated to meats, cheeses, dips, vegetables and much more, while given the chance to network and celebrate the latest magazine. Hand-crafted cocktails and several wines were also provided to the mingling guests.

Nystrom's start in the restaurant industry originates from his entrepreneurial drive. Following his college years, Nystrom initially ventured into the realm of Smoothie King franchises, and he explored the field of real estate brokerage for a number of years. In 2015, he founded a development company with a specific emphasis on hospitality projects, encompassing hotels and restaurants.

In Oct. 2017 the first Craft and Vine restaurant opened its doors in Roanoke. Craft and Vine restaurant made the decision to open a second location in Plano in June 2023 to introduce the upscale-casual dining experience in The Shops at Legacy area.

“The addition of Craft and Vine would offer another unique dining option, complementing the vibrant mix of great restaurants already present,” Nystrom told Local Profile.

What separated the second location from the first is the extensive self-serve taproom experience. “With 40 beers, wines, and cocktails on tap, guests can enjoy sampling small portions or indulging in a full glass,” Nystrom said.

Recently, Craft and Vine welcomed Scott Sharrer with 100X Hospitality to their team. Sharrer’s experience and contributions to renowned restaurant concepts at Front Burner Restaurant Group, will help Craft and Vine continue to grow and enhance the dining experience for guests.

“His expertise and insights will elevate Craft and Vine to new heights, ensuring that we continue to deliver exceptional service, innovative cuisine and a memorable atmosphere,” Nystrom said. Can’t wait.
