Michelin Guide Mistakenly Recommended Wrong Dallas Restaurant

Mistakes happen. Even to prestigious culinary awards.

During a ceremony on Nov. 11, 2024, the Michelin Guide awarded The Charles, a great restaurant from Duro Hospitality, a recommended honor. But, not so fast. This award was meant for Mister Charles, another great Duro restaurant.

“This was an internal error caused by our geolocation process,” Michelin said in an official statement. “The problem will be corrected in the most expeditious manner.”

Duro Hospitality was founded by Benji Homsey, Chas Martin, Corbin See and Ross See and is known in the DFW dining scene for restaurants like Sister, The Charles, Mister Charles and El Carlos Elegante, the last of which also received Michelin recommended honors. But yes, that is a lot of Charleses! (All are nods to co-founder Martin.)

Now with a Michelin-recommended award, this is further proof that Duro’s restaurants are built to last.
